EARTHCACHING

The club made it's way to a local metro park to find an earth cache for National EarthCache day. We had a blast testing the ph level and temperature of the water for Geocache GC127D5. After that we went on a hike on the nearby trails, even finding two deer in the reeds!

CACHE IN TRASH OUT EVENT

Earlier the club has recently traveled to a nearby state park to clean up the trash alongside the lake. Cleaning up the lake really was a lot of hard work for our cachers! Our work went to benefit the Keep it Clean alliance for the Great lakes. (www.greatlakes.org).  They are researching what types of trash wash up on our shorelines, attempting to prevent further trash built up before it happens.
